My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
IKEA Dubai has made time a currency you can pay with. The longer you travel to their Dubai store, the bigger your discount will be. That sounds fair.
But the fact is that time has been a currency we've been paying with for a long time now. The cost of your streaming services is not the dollars you pay, but the time you spend watching. We all know how much that can be. And that is exactly what makes IKEA’s move feel right. Those spending more time pay less money. Yet if time is the most valuable currency, then why are we so quick to exchange it for one that is not so strong and pay commission on top? The logic goes - I will go anyway, at least now I will get a discount for it. But does this hold true for many of us? And how many would go only because of the discount instead of ordering online? Remember to read the fine print for all the hidden costs when exchanging time for another currency. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Comments are closed.
