Musings
My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
Many of us live secret lives in our heads. Dreaming of taking big stages, writing books, and backpacking for days on end.
To only wake up and run the same hamster wheel we've built for ourselves. It is up to us to rebuild the wheel into a ladder to escape our terrarium. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. The time spent looking at the distance, noticing the birds in the sky and the colours of the clouds is a way to open the same horizons within. To give order to the chaos surrounding the soul. To come up with questions on topics that one day might become important. Or not.
A soul at peace wandering in calmness will gift you potent ideas, if not right away then soon enough. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. We abandon meanings all the time. We change the narrative without giving it much thought.
But if we mindlessly cling to meanings that have long lost their value, they can become harmful. This is how the status quo solidifies. Which meanings have you abandoned that could serve you again? And what can you let go of to create space? Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. P.S. Inspired by Don DeLillo and his book White Noise. If ghostwriters are the hidden strength behind individuals with powerful stories they cannot write for various reasons, then my own ghosts become my strengths.
It turns out I have a few ghosts capable of even more, making me feel limitless. What hidden ghosts support you? Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Some time ago, I wrote about the unsettling thoughts we sometimes experience at the end of the day. But the thoughts we allow at the beginning of the day have the power to influence those we will have as the day draws to a close.
It comes down to where we direct our attention first thing in the morning. Are we turning outward – to news, emails, and social media? Or inward – focusing on our breath, movement, and reflection. Realising how self-sufficient and limitless we are we can set ourselves for success no matter what the day brings. The process of building ourselves up originates from within. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. I feel like the world is telling me, "We have solutions for all the issues on this planet, but we won't take action. We'll present them to you, use them sparingly because we don't want to disturb the status quo. After all, that's what feeds us and our children."
The status quo comes with an expiry date. Once that date is reached, it's time for change. Don't just tell me you have what it takes. Prove it through action, or don't seek my attention while I'm focused on doing the work you promised to do. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. I am fascinated by motivational speakers and how they move an audience. They have done it and so can we. And we are even told how and what to do after we leave the room to become as alive as them.
Most of us will take no action and will not change. But for some, these words will take root deep in the psyche. Until one day soon, after these words reshape our reality bursting forth like a new blossom. Welcome new ideas with an open mind. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Happiness can exist even when the heart is heavy. A slight spark appears at first, barely noticeable. This spark might seem nonexistent the next day, only to return again and last a fraction longer.
Noticing it is all that's needed to keep it coming back. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring You have one, but maybe you don't realise it, because it feels too easy for you. Empathising with others, or learning with ease. Being able to understand the other's perspective or distilling complex ideas into simple takeaways.
You have a superpower that is distinctly yours because you bring all of you when using it to make a difference. What's your superpower? Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Games have varying difficulties. Some progressively become harder, while others surprise you with different challenges each day.
The hard days and the easy days are the ones you notice the most. But life is made of those days in the middle, that don't make much of a splash. Build your medium mode to set you up for success. Make it a safe place to play, but also introduce opportunities to step outside your comfort zone. Then you will meet the edges, which will naturally shift the more you expand the medium zone. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
