Musings
My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
A new life bursts into life from the smallest crack in the concrete. As if potent seeds are everywhere only waiting for the tiniest opportunity to take root.
The same holds true for ideas and humans. Ideas are like those seeds - they are everywhere ready for the tiniest crack of opportunity in an open mind to take root. Do you fill every crack, or do you leave room for new ideas? Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Don't you love the announcements of new beginnings? Whether it's starting a new job, embarking on an entrepreneurial endeavour, or pursuing a new university degree, social media has conditioned us to appreciate such posts. We may linger around a little bit longer to understand some of the juicy details before moving on with our scroll.
When you come across someone you know well enough to pause for, if you can afford it, consider and offer your help. Beginnings may be exciting but are also very daunting and difficult to navigate. Sticking around and landing a hand can be what turns the tide for the other side. It will turn the tide in your life too. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Is your Friday truly as happy as you say, or is it actually burdened with unfinished tasks from the week?
We have all agreed that Fridays should be great because they precede the weekend when we can live life to the fullest. But does that happen? Can we squeeze our entire lives into just two days? There’s nothing wrong with being excited about Fridays. Remember to find excitement in every other day as well. They are all equally precious. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. P.S. And here’s why I don’t hate Mondays either. In one of my very first posts, titled "Be unapologetically yourself," I wrote, "...chasing failure will open new doors, new processes, and ultimately - new opportunities that you will end up making a choice about how to proceed."
I did not even realise that in the past year, these words had become my modus operandi. I made the decision not to conform to restrictive boxes and to pursue my heart's desires regardless of the cost. This path led me to new opportunities and changes that allow me to live my truth now. And it is my hope to inspire change in those around me, so that we don't settle. This is the ultimate why that I live by. That's why I sign everything with "Stay inspired. Keep inspiring." - because we all have the power to do so. Life is too short not to be cherished. Each of us has our own way of doing so. I can only hope to serve as a reminder of why you should never settle for what you believe you deserve. It's easier to pursue what you truly want instead. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. A few months ago, I came across the top-performing post on Medium titled "On Education and Upskilling." Once I read the title it dawned on me that I can channel the energy I spend at various online courses and programs, and organise my takeaways in different articles. These articles needed a home separate from Medium, where I typically post my daily short pieces. So, I made the decision to create a website: atamagdalina.com.
Websites have always been a challenge for me. The thought of working on my own site, without IT support, made me uneasy, despite my decade of experience in marketing communications. I had to remind myself not to take myself too seriously and embrace the fact that I love learning. The narrative quickly shifted to viewing it as a wonderful opportunity. Now, my website is only three months old, and the articles on the courses I've taken are progressing well. I have a special scoop you can check out. The best part is that they encourage me to think differently not only about writing but also about the true value of each course. They offer an alternative perspective that I hope I am passing along to the readers as well. Perhaps the greatest gift of writing daily is gaining a perspective that may not come from any other source. And now, one of these perspectives has provided the inspiration to take the next step forward with my own website. I cannot wait to uncover what else is hiding in there. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. On the day the idea of the blog was born, I wrote this to myself:
"I will ship, dance with fear, and remember that my work is a gift for the world. I am the vessel of the Muse, and the final creation belongs to her. It's time to face the Fear Monster and laugh in its face - that's what success would feel like." I do believe that my journey in the past year has been a successful one. I showed up every day, and that's the greatest gift I could have given myself. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Have you ever noticed that some evenings you go to bed with a lump in your throat? It's not the same feeling as coming down with a cold. It's different because you realize there's something you should have said to a person you care for, and your body reminds you of it.
Tomorrow marks one year since I started this writing space on Medium. I am dedicating this week to reflection and tying up any loose ends that I may have left unsaid. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
