Musings
My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
The other day I had to explain to my sixty-something mother how to zoom in on her iPhone. I realised that the hand gesture is so familiar to me that I have a hard time explaining it over the phone.
It is like if you want to slowly grab something super tiny between your index finger and your thumb, but actually do the opposite, I began, already feeling desperate. I kept doing it in front of myself hoping it will magically help, or that she would somehow see it. She didn't. Neither see it, nor understand it, but she said she'd try. It seems that in life rarely we struggle with the zooming itself. On the contrary - we zoom into small issues until we magnify them so large that they take our whole space and become huge problems all of a sudden. A whole different world seems to exist in the zoomed in. We cannot unlearn the zoom-in gesture, but we can certainly be more mind about when we use it too fast or too much. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
