Musings
My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
From a young age, we teach kids the concept of ownership. This is their toy and their snack, while the other belongs to another child. This is their dog the other belongs to someone else.
But, when it comes to living beings, we should teach kids about companionship instead. By getting an animal, we commit to being its best partner in life. We don't do it because this life belongs to us. It doesn't. We do it because it is a life worth sharing the journey with – a life that gives us as much as we give it. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. When you broke your promise, he made sure you knew that you needed to be held accountable. There was no way around it.
Even if you tried to make it up to him in other ways, the crack would always remain. It was a betrayal. His look would be cast upon you everywhere you went. Judging your every move, no promise of forgiveness. The only redemption that you could have is to deliver your promise, even if late. After all, he could not hate. He just wanted you to feel bad, as bad as he felt too. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
