Musings
My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
It makes sense that athletes are fit - it is their job to be in the best possible shape.
But so is the job of anybody else who wants a rich and fulfilling life. A life powered by the strength of the 600 hearts of their muscles. Unleash the potential of those hearts that yearn to beat for you. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. When a random person jumps the queue, you feel annoyed. After all, they saw you and others, and chose to ignore what is right in front of them.
When a loved one leaves their empty glass right next to the dishwasher, but not in it, you feel annoyed. How dare they pile more chores on your endless list? In both cases, you can assume positive intent. Both people may be trying to do right by you and be coming from a loving place. The person may not be jumping the queue, but going back to help an elderly person they left alone inside. And your loved one may have been concerned about making too much noise in the middle of the night. Assuming positive intent will help you listen with empathy when you ask the other person why they did what they did. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. We crumble in front of the small decisions, the temptations, the points of resistance. We let go, unable to say no, unable to use our strength.
Looking back, we judge ourselves, belittling our ability to act with strength. And little by little, we start believing and living this truth. That we cannot, that we are weak, that we have no power to change. But the strength is there and it has always been. It needs to be unearthed with a kind word and a little belief. And little by little, the truth we live in begins to change. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
