When was the last time you truly felt heard? Not only was the person nodding in agreement, but was genuinely present, absorbing every word you shared.
And when was the last time you listened like this to others? One action to get you closer to paying attention is to leave your phone aside —whether in your bag, pocket, or another room. If you've chosen to spend time with someone, make a conscious effort to be fully present. Allow their reality to envelop you. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. The sound and meaning of his words were deafening. They landed with force, and her eardrums were about to burst. But no, it wasn’t her ears. He was speaking in a normal voice. Something inside her genuinely heard and felt the words, and wanted to burst out of her.
It was just another regular day, one so regular that you don’t remember them by the same evening. She was going through the familiar motions of her chores, earbuds in, listening to her favourite podcast. The show was one of her favourites, touching on how to be a better human, or at least that’s how she always described it. The episode — quite usual as well. But as it often happens, it takes hearing the same idea for the 101st time to truly hear it. “Start before you are ready!” he said and carried on. As if struck by lightning, she stood there contemplating. She paused the episode and wrote down her first achievable item, giving birth to that something so eager inside of her. She started. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
