Musings
My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
It seems that when we have to think of an idea on the fly, they all escape us. But if we give ourselves time, or create a system to capture them when they come, we end up with plenty.
So how do we choose? Establishing rules around the outcomes usually helps. Make sure that you act with peace of mind that the idea may not succeed or that you may change your mind in the process. Your act of choosing demonstrates strength. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. ‘…someone else would have already done it,’ the friendly advice often goes. But sometimes, that 'someone' is you.
Give it a try, even if it scares you. It's worth it. Be the 'someone' that others are waiting for. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Popular writers and critics often make the comment that some books shouldn't have been written.
In a similar way, we acknowledge that some inventions should have never seen the light of day. So how do we determine if our idea is worth pursuing? We need to scrutinize its contribution, not only for humans but for all beings on this planet. And then question it some more. If the ideas or uses prove to be beneficial even when asked why three times, we must wholeheartedly pursue them. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Quite untrue. Everyone has great ideas, but only a few people act on them.
It is scary to pursue ideas, to venture into uncharted territory where you alone are responsible. That's why indecision has killed more good ideas than failure ever did. One way to overcome the fear is to share the load with a friend and embark on the journey together. Another way is to act as if you already know what the outcome will be. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Imagine if every idea you shared could be worth a million dollars. Would you share them more often?
Maybe not. But that would also mean the end of humanity. Without sharing, contributing and trusting each other, our world would fall apart. So what is your next brilliant idea and who can help you to make it a reality? Share away. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. In a busy world full of so so much, we often look for the short version. The highlights, the trailer, the headlines. TL; DR, right?
Nowadays you don't even have to read the book. You can get a summary from helpful people on the internet. I am sure authors would agree that their book makes a few key points. Of course, they do. But there is a reason the author took the hard road of writing a book and didn't just write an article. In a world obsessed with easy swipes, it takes courage to not only write a book but read a few too. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
