My writing space. A blog, if you will, on what I learn from the school of life.
If both the teacher and the student rely on AI for teaching and completing work, what role does the human play?
We, humans, are always going to choose the easy way, but there are occasions where tension is all that matters. In the classroom and at work when we solve problems that matter we should always opt for tension. We should seek it, not waste time on things that don't matter or that can be handled by machinery alone. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Rebirth and transformation stem from death. A person transforms only after burying the old ideals and giving space to the new to be born.
Every birth, as well as rebirth, comes with pain. The process is swift but then it crawls. It comes with a mix of feelings and emotions, all signifying one thing - I am changing and the only way is forward. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Embracing our emotions is the only way to navigate the discomfort of what's happening. The alternative is to suppress it all and build walls. But building this defence system is a sure way to hurt ourselves more and for a longer period of time.
Chances are high that we will hurt others too. Suppressed pain is a ticking time bomb full of hurt and devastation that can spread far and wide. Work through it – you will emerge stronger and more compassionate on the other side. Stay inspired. Keep inspired. From a young age, we teach kids the concept of ownership. This is their toy and their snack, while the other belongs to another child. This is their dog the other belongs to someone else.
But, when it comes to living beings, we should teach kids about companionship instead. By getting an animal, we commit to being its best partner in life. We don't do it because this life belongs to us. It doesn't. We do it because it is a life worth sharing the journey with – a life that gives us as much as we give it. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. It is a flawed measure. Everything else cannot be quantified in terms of deserving, as we never have complete knowledge of the objective truth. No human does.
Replace the notion of deserving with boundless love. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. When children start understanding their environment at an early age, they want to do more of what they see people around them doing – to be accepted and to feel helpful. It is part of our human nature to assist, improve, and be there for others.
But, along the way, in school and later at work, we learn to hold back and hide. The system overwrites what naturally comes to us because it wants everything we've got and gives little in return. We can break out of this spell by finding a deeper reason to contribute. A connection that would give us the same childhood happiness as when we gave without holding back. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. I was late for my daily post. I had self-imposed that by 11.00 am each morning, my daily blog post will be ready to ship. But it was 2.00 pm, I was rattled, and my head was definitely not in the right place. That's why I write first thing in the morning – so that I can prevent the day from derailing me.
But life happened, and I had to make a choice. I would either find 30 minutes to write something in what already seemed to be a messy and very busy day or opt out. After all, who would notice?! The truth is that I would be the one to notice. My Self will. I would give up on a promise that I have made to myself. When you stop keeping your own promises, it all goes downhill from there. So I shipped. Late, but I shipped. And not only was I happy with what came out of it, but I was hungry for more. The process helped me face inward and find my peace. It helped me straighten my priorities and remind myself why I choose to do what I do. Don't give up on yourself. Show up. You will never regret choosing you. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Or are they all just choices?
If we make a choice, we take a step towards a certain direction. We make our wish concrete and give it the opportunity to take shape. The consequence can be good or bad, yes. But the choice is just that. A vote towards who we want to be in that moment. Choosing is often the hardest part. But choose we must. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Friends are the smartest investment we can make over the years.
We are often unaware at an early age that we are doing our older selves a great service by cherishing our friends and being there for them. And being open and vulnerable when we need them too, asking for their support, letting them be there for us. Because we should not cry alone, nor should we be alone when it is time to celebrate the heights in life. Make sure you contribute on a regular basis, throughout the years. It's an investment that always pays back with dividends. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. Most people, when asked "What would you do differently?" are likely to come up with improvements because “it is in our nature to improve things,” shares Seth Godin in his latest book The Song of Significance.
Knowing this can make a huge difference in how we perceive others who challenge the norms and status quo. Alternatively, we can prompt them to think more in terms of improvement for all. Ask them to focus on the how, and then move to actions that can be done now, at the individual level. If they are stuck in their ways, the least that will happen is that they will stop whining about what they are not willing to change themselves. Stay inspired. Keep inspiring. |
